Tanya

Producer

Tanya began her production journey in film school at the School of Visual Art and Design in Chattanooga and later at Walla Walla University for her Master’s. Photography was her starting block, with her work gaining traction with CanonUSA, and gracing magazines such as LA Fashion, Loma Linda Medical School’s Scope Magazine, and UK SquareMeal. In film, she has worked largely on the creative side as a cinematographer, and above-the-line as a 1st AD and Producer. Her experience has spanned award-winning international documentaries, feature-length narrative films, and, most recently, commercials for companies like Procter & Gamble and BlueAir. Her work has taken her all over the country and around the world, mainly to fuel her never ending curiosity and search for (well-composed) life experiences.

Once the itchy feet of her 20s began to subside and grow roots, she began honing her producing skills with a Creative Director position at a small media company. She discovered she had a knack for integrating her creative experience and getting things done when it came to the herding of cats (artists). She’s an animal-lover, so that might’ve helped. Her passion is people, so connecting with crew and the creative has made her an effective producer, and she’s eager to apply her skills at Duft Watterson.

You’ll probably find her out in the mountains, cold plunging next to hot springs, and making her hair smell like campfire so she can take it home for an extra day. Or water coloring and fighting nostalgia with Boy Meets World.
