Maggie

Junior Copywriter

Maggie joins us from Plymouth, Massachusetts. At 18, she came to the conclusion that Massachusetts just wasn’t cold enough and made the journey to Upstate New York. At Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, she was a film major for three entire months before pivoting into advertising. She attended a creative portfolio program and had a concentration in copywriting. As a student, her work was recognized by Clio Entertainment, Cannes, Communication Arts, One Show Young Ones, and more.  After graduating, she worked with Keurig Dr. Pepper and NewYork-Presbyterian at a creative agency before making the journey out west to Duft Watterson.

Outside of the office, Maggie loves an adventure. She hiked a glacier in Iceland, had an asthma attack in Rome, was almost run over by a tram in Berlin, left her purse on a double-decker bus in London, and personally greeted every stray cat in Athens.

She is a champion of public radio. She hates talking about herself in the third person. If she won the lottery, she would open a sanctuary for elderly pugs. She was raised to revere Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. She decided to be a Career Writer™ in the fourth grade. If she  hadn’t been writing, she  would have been wildlife conservation. And most importantly, she is very excited to help DW make some serious noise in the NW.
